How to Relax: Rearrange a room

February 22, 2015

When you’re feeling tense sometimes a change of scenery can help you relax. While a 7 day, 7 night vacation to the Bahamas sounds lovely, life doesn’t always allow one to do so. Instead of traveling to a new space you might consider rearranging the space around you. Pick a place in your home where you spend the most time and move things around until you feel a sense of relief; this is called practicing Feng Shui. Feng Shui is the art of arranging things to bring good vibes and energy. People who practice this ritual believe that Feng Shui can bring about a more happy, healthy life.

Here are a few tips on rearranging a room to promote relaxation:

  1. Be sure to have a balance of brights and neutrals. Too many bright colors can be harsh on the eyes and may tension.
  2. De-clutter your space. When a room is too crowded it can cause anxiety.
  3. Adding mirrors to make your room appear larger and more open.
